The oldest preserved mosacis are from Sumerian times and about 5000 years old. Our mosaics, which are manually laid stone by stone are stilistically in the tradition of Roman, Byzantine and medieval mosaics: Ravenna, Istanbul, the cathedral of Monreale, the palace of the Normans in Palermo are unreachable, however constantly present, ideals.
